Vendor Love: Curly Bartender
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog! Today, we are featuring a woman owned business that we absolutely LOVE. Curly Bartender specializes in craft cocktails that elevate your event by providing excellent services. While they provide a luxury bar set up, they also offer other amazing alternatives for your needs. You name it, they probably have it! We had the opportunity to ask the owner some questions - both about the business and some fun/random questions. Follow along to see her answers!
1. Tell Us a little About the Curly Bartender?
Curly Bartender was officially started a year and half ago. We are an LLC & have general & liquor liability insurance that is included in all our quotes. We provide a luxury bar experience for all our clients & their guests, specializing in craft cocktails serving all of SoCal & we are also available for travel ! We strive to provide a unique & enjoyable experience for each client because we believe no two events are the same. We also offer in person & virtual mixology classes where we will deliver or ship mixology kits to you & your guests so you have all the ingredients & liquor to follow along with us while we teach you how to make some fun cocktails! This is perfect for company parties, couple's date nights, friends night in & so much more! During the pandemic we also added Boozy Brunch Baskets. These are ready to drink cocktails delivered to you or your friends' & families homes in baskets that can be personalized for birthdays, graduations, holidays & so much more!
Curly Bartender has bartenders & cocktail servers for hire for your next event. All of our bartenders & servers are TIPS & ServeSafe Certified & have been trained by me personally as well as our lead bartenders. Our cocktail servers are more than just "cocktail" servers. Think of them as your personal assistants for the night. They will help you with picking up trash, cake cutting, putting up decorations and so much more.
We can include everything needed to make your bar & party a success such as: the actual bar, ice, handcrafted syrups, bar tools, garnishes, decorative buckets, a signature cocktail menu (we email you a list of 40+ cocktails to choose from), a liquor & mixers shopping list with brand and quantity recommendations to leave out any guesswork or we can also supply that as well if our clients don't want to include it themselves.
We got you covered here at Curly Bartender from A-Z!
2. What are your favorite cocktails to make?
This is always a tough question because there are so many different cocktails & each of them are so unique. I enjoy making cocktails in general but if I had to choose it would be taking a classic cocktail, like a margarita, and putting my own twist on it ! Adding some fresh mango syrup, chamoy & tajin with a mango chili lollipop is an example of what I love to do!
3. What is your pricing like?
Our pricing depends on several factors: guest count, duration of the event & any additions our clients would like to add. We believe in letting our clients add or remove things that they need or don't need for their specific event so we can custom tailor it to their specific needs because like I was saying no two events are ever the same.
4. What drives your passion for creating Delicious customized cocktails?
I have always been a crafty person. I love creating & customizing things. This definitely applies to cocktails as well. I always compare passionate bartenders to chefs. We are doing similar things by mixing new & different flavors. Coming up with whole new flavor profiles by adding or removing ingredients is so rewarding. Seeing clients' faces after they just took a sip of your new creation brings a smile to my face! I'm passionate about bringing smiles to my clients faces & making the bar one of the highlights of their events!
5. What is your favorite cocktail?
My favorite cocktail is always switching up...but right now it's actually one my boyfriend recently came up with...it has tequila, mezcal, coconut syrup, chamoy, pineapple juice, lime juice & handcrafted grenadine. It is absolutely delicious !!! It's so new that we don't have a name yet lol. So maybe you guys can suggest one ;). A classic cocktail that will forever be my favorite is a mezcal negroni. It has so many complex flavors from the smoky mezcal to the bitter campari...it's just amazing!
6. Favorite restaurant?
I LOVE food. Experiencing new & different restaurants is one of my favorite things to do, especially while traveling. I love it so much I'm in the process of creating a restaurant/foodie IG just so I can post all the amazing food I've been so lucky to try! I can't just choose one restaurant so here are my top ones:
Herbs & rye: Las Vegas- I go here every time I'm in Vegas. It's a delicious steak house offering not only amazing steaks but a full cocktail bar with experienced bartenders. It's pretty rare to find a place where they offer BOTH amazing food AND cocktails but Herbs & Rye definitely comes through with that!
Quintonil- Mexico City- this restaurant offers a 10 course meal that you NEED to experience. Their flavors are unmatched by anything I've ever tried in my life! They are also so friendly & welcoming.
The Dead Rabbit- New York City- Another restaurant offering both amazing food & cocktails! It's a MUST go if you visit NY. Make sure to get their famous Irish coffee, the BEST I've ever had!
ANY Taco place- I love tacos lol & carne asada fries
7. What is your favorite quote?
"Even after all this time....the sun never says to the Earth...you owe me....Look what happens with a love like this....it lights the whole sky"- Hafiz (a beautiful Persian poet) I love this poem so much & it really resonated with me that I have part of it tattooed on me in Farsi. It's very special to me.
And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much Curly Bartender for taking the time to answer these questions for us! It’s honestly such a pleasure working with you. And to all the babes reading this, go check out some of her work on Instagram @curly_bartender and hire her along with her awesome team for your next event!
