Client Love Story: Briana & Travis
Welcome back to the LexHouse blog! If you’ve been keeping up with our content, you know we just announced some super exciting news on our last post. If you’re new here - or have no idea what I’m talking about - go check out our last post before you continue with this one!
Okay, so now that we’re all caught up, we are SO excited to announce our very first LexHouse client love story featuring Briana and Travis - who doesn’t love a good love story?!
We had the opportunity to ask our lovely couple some questions regarding their relationship thus far and where they plan on seeing themselves in the future and here is what we came up with!
Briana and Travis met through a mutual friend. Travis worked at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Huntington Beach with Briana’s best friend ( who is now her maid of honor), Michelle. Travis knew of Briana through Michelle’s social media and asked to meet. Michelle set up a group outing for all of them to go surfing together and they hit it off really well! After talking for a while, they decided to make it “official” on 7/11.
Now, if you’re thinking what we are…Yes, they made it official on that date for the free slurpees every year on their anniversary - SO CUTE!
Okay, back to the story - Fast forward six years later, Travis finally proposed to Briana at their favorite restaurant, Splashes, in Laguna Beach!
Just wait until you hear the proposal story and how perfect it was!
Travis had initially made plans to spend a weekend in Sequoia, but once the wildfires happened and made its way to Sequia the trip got canceled. Briana had an idea he was going to do it in Sequoia. So, since things got canceled, on the Friday they were supposed to leave, he asked her to dress up because he wanted to take her to their favorite restaurant Splashes, to cheer her up.
The whole time they were there he went to the bathroom about 100 times and kept asking when the sunset was going to happen! Toward the end of dinner he kept rushing the waiter to get the check because he didn't want to miss the sunset. (She swore the waiter thought Travis was a crazy man!)
After they got the check, they walked along the beach in front of the restaurant, watching the sunset (mind you this was after months of wildfires and months of no actual "sky" due to the smoke, so this was the first time they saw the sunset in a VERY LONG TIME). She was so excited to actually see a sunset that she asked the hotel employee to take a photo of them. After a few photos she began to feel Travis kneel down and he PROPOSED!
She was completely shocked and the employee taking the photo was as well. Travis had no time to tell the employee his plans before they started taking the pictures - he just hoped that the employee would capture the moment in the pictures he was taking. All they heard from the employee was “oh crap!”
Now - if you thought that was the cutest and most perfect proposal, just wait, it continues!
So after they officially got engaged, they wanted to go home and surprise their families to see their reaction in person. Travis told Briana that he had one more surprise for her but she had to wait. After they went home to surprise their families, he told her he booked a night at the Pasea Hotel in Huntington Beach for the night so they could celebrate their engagement together. When they got back to her house after the night at Pasea they were surprised with an engagement party thrown by her sister-in-law.
Briana and Travis are getting married on January 22, 2022 at Vellano Estate in Chino Hills. When asked where they saw each other in five years, they said with two children and one dog named Jimmy.
